09:30 Departure for a guided tour of the Extremadura's Sistine Chapel
10:30 You have a guided tour reservation for Extremadura's Sistine Chapel. This monument, located at the beginning of Extremadura, is known as the Sistine Chapel of Extremadura, with hundreds of years of history that have been hidden until recently.
The visit is guided and very enjoyable. The interior is completely covered with frescoes depicting scenes from the Genesis, which were discovered by chance recently. It also stands out for its architecture and the historical importance of the place.
Afterwards, you can continue to the Hueznar Waterfalls. Declared a Natural Monument in 2001, the Hueznar Waterfalls refer to an area of the river formed by waterfalls and pools created by the contact of the water falling on the limestone formations of the terrain. It is a spectacle to see and hear the course of the crystal-clear waters of the river in all these waterfalls.
Then, you can head towards Cerro del Hierro, one of the best-known and most visited areas of the Sierra Norte Natural Park of Seville. It is an old open-pit mining site between San Nicolás del Puerto and Constantina. The beginning of mining in this area dates back to Roman times.
