FIRST DAY ARRIVAL TO MALAGA AND TRANSFER TO GRANADA

Arrival at the airport of Malaga. Meeting with the driver and transfer to Granada, the last bastion of Muslim Spain, until 1492, when the Catholic Monarchs defeated Boabdil, the last Moorish king, after centuries of occupation.

Granada is a city highly influenced by its Arab heritage, both in the layout of its streets and in its architecture, landscape and gastronomy. Strolling through the palaces of the Alhambra or the Albaycin evoke that golden age of the Nazari dynasty, the last who lived in Al Andalus.

Granada is world famous for its most important monument, the Alhambra, which annually receives millions of visitors. This palace consists of several main parts: the Alcazaba, the Palacio de Carlos V, Nazari Palaces and the Generalife gardens, so it is imperative you to visit it. From the vantage point of the Alhambra, overlooking the whole city, you will enjoy spectacular views of the Albaycín and Carmens.

Los Carmenes are landscaped homes, its gardens are terraces are at different heights, creating a unique type of residential house.

During the afternoon we recommend a walk through the neighborhood of Albaycín and to climb to the viewpoint of San Nicolas, from where you have the most beautiful views of the Alhambra. At the end of the day, during the sunset the walls of the Palace become pink  and the sun is lost in the gardens of the Generalife. Thanks to this spectacle, Granada will remain engraved in our minds as one of the most beautiful places that our eyes  will ever contemplate.

At noon we will head towards Córdoba, capital of the Omaya caliphate in the tenth century, which was one of the most important cities in the world that had nothing to envy to Constantinople. The Guadalquivir river (Oued El Kebir or "large river", like the Arabs called it), bathes the Caliphate city, refreshing the hot summer afternoons, dotting riverfront and giving impetus to the mills of Arab water, which still remain on its shores,  remembering  to us ancient times.

Cordoba was the capital of the world in the tenth century Culturally speaking, under the government of the Omayas, was constructed here a powerful city, adorned with palaces, mosques, madrassas and libraries.
