DAY1, WEDNESDAY: FEZ

Arrival in Fez and guided city tour.

Fez is a beautiful city where the rich Moroccan craft tradition remains alive today. Founded by Moulay Idriss in the year 791, it is now the religious and spiritual capital of Morocco.

We will start with Fez el Jedid, including the Alawite Square, exteriors of the Royal Palace, and Dar el Makhzen. We will then continue with a walking tour of Fez el Bali. We will visit the spice souk of Attarin. We will reach Nejjarin Square where the founduk of the same name is located, and visit the Bounania madrasa. We will continue to Es Seffarin Square to end the visit in the tanners' quarter and see the tanneries.

DAY 2, THURSDAY: MIDDLE ATLAS - ERFOUD 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure southwards through the Meknes-Tafilalet region. Immersed in the Middle Atlas, we will pass through the town of Ifrane, a small city with an alpine appearance and houses with slate roofs, founded in 1929 as a recreational city, at an altitude of about 1650 meters. We will also cross the largest cedar forest in the world, with ancient trees and a colony of Barbary macaques, wild monkeys that live freely in these forests. If circumstances allow, we will make a stop. Be careful with them! If you take out any food, they will take it from you before you realize.

Continuation of the journey towards Erfoud, an oasis city in the hamada desert of the Sahara, where we will arrive in the afternoon.

DAY 3, FRIDAY: TOTAL DESERT MERZOUGA AND THE GREAT ERG CHEBBI OR SAND DUNE FIELD

Breakfast and check-out.

We recommend taking only essential luggage for the night in the desert in khaimas.

Excursion in 4x4 where we will see the untouched desert, passing through small oases visited by Berber nomads, the hamada (stone desert), and places where fossils millions of years old are found. During this 4x4 excursion, we will make stops as desired for taking photos, walking, and observing anything that catches our attention along the way. We will also pass through the Dakar tracks.

We will arrive at the khaimas next to the hostel in the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Camel ride in the dunes.

In the afternoon, a spectacle of mobile and changing sand sculptures awaits us. You will have the opportunity to listen to the silence of the desert and enjoy a panoramic view of the dunes.

We will spend the night in haimas "Camel Hair Tents" like those used by the Desert Nomads to enjoy a Magical Night under thousands of Stars.

DAY 4, SATURDAY: MERZOUGA - MEKNES

Today, "Date with the Sunrise." We recommend waking up early to watch the sunrise from the dunes.

Return to the hostel. After a Berber breakfast, we will walk to the bus, which will be waiting for us on the road about 1000 meters from the hostel, and we will begin our journey back, heading towards Meknes.

In the afternoon, arrival in Meknes and panoramic tour of the city, including the majestic Bab El Mansour gate, Lahdim Square which in the afternoons resembles Jmaa el Fna in Marrakech, and the exteriors of the Moulay Ismail mausoleum.

The history of Meknes (a UNESCO World Heritage city since 1996) is linked to that of Moulay Ismail, founder of the Alaouite dynasty. Ambitious, visionary, and a brilliant architect, he remodeled and beautified the city in the image of Louis XIV of France, creating a "Moroccan Versailles."

9:00 PM: Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 5, SUNDAY: MEKNES - FEZ

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

Guided tour of Meknes.

Transfer to Fez airport.
