Marrakech from Seville 4 days

FIRST DAY SEVILLA - TARIFA - CASABLANCA - MARRAKECH

 4:45 a.m. Meeting in Seville, opposite to the of the Pavilion of Portugal in the Glorieta del Cid (Prado of San Sebastián)

05:00 a.m. Departure for Tarifa

Arrival at the port of Tarifa and delivery of boarding passes.

08:00 hrs. Exit of the Fast Ferry to Tangier. From the deck of the ship appear in all its splendor profile of the hills of the city, dominated by two high towers: the Mosque of Mohammed V and the Spanish cathedral. Background, behind the murmur of the waves, we can guess the sound of the muezzin calling to prayer, and that means we have reached our destination, Morocco: the country of the senses.

Departure to Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco and economic capital of the kingdom, located on the Atlantic coast, at the south of the capital Rabat. It is the most populous city in the whole country, with nearly 6 million inhabitants.  Here we can admire the Hassan II Mosque, designed by French architect Michel Pinseau, that was inaugurated in 1993 after 22 years of work. This mosque is the highest in the Arab world and the lights of its minaret, 200 meters high, can be seen from several kilometers away, and is the second largest mosque after Mecca.  This architectural work has the latest technologies such as resistance to earthquakes, roof with automatical opening, heated floor or electric gates. It is one of the few mosques in the Muslim world that allows the entrance of non-Muslims tourists. (Entrance fee not included)

SECOND DAY - MARRAKECH

Breakfast at the hotel 

09:30 hrs. We will begin our visit in Marrakech with the outdoor visit of the Koutoubia, twin sister of the Giralda tower in Seville and Menara Gardens. Then we will continue to the Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs, the exterior of the Mosque of the kasbah. We will end the day in Jmaa el Fna Square.

Free dinner. We recommend enjoy Jemaa el Fna Square at night to check on your own experience how it changes the atmosphere of the place.

However it will also be offered as optional dinner show Fantasy Chez Ali, representing the different tribes of Morocco and its equestrian traditions.

THIRD DAY HIGH ATLAS AND OURIKA VALLEY

09:00 hrs. Today we will make an excursion to Ourika valley, entry route to the Grand Atlas. It consists of a green valley, very fertile and located an hour's drive south of Marrakech. This is where picturesque villages Berbers cling to steep slopes on a precipitate mountain torrent.

In the summer, the coldness of the mountains marks a welcome contrast with the intense heat of Marrakech (so the valley is very crowded during the summer weekends), while during the winter, the snowy peaks of the Atlas Mountains provide a truly breathtaking spectacle.

FOURTH DAY MARRAKECH - RABAT - TARIFA - SEVILLA

Early departure to Rabat, the capital of the Kingdom, located on the Atlantic coast, on the southern riverside of Bouregreg river mouth, which separates it from the neighboring town of Salé. Its foundation dates back to s. II. C. which still archaeological remains are preserved in a settlement known as Chellah.

In 1195, during the Almohad dynasty, Yaqub al-Mansur projected the construction of a large city spread over more than four hectares, surrounded by imposing walls and fortifications with five large gates. Into it was erected a large mosque with four columns to overcome the Giralda of Seville and the Koutoubia of Marrakech. The works were stopped after his death in 1199. From it has survived only the minaret called Torre Hasan of 44 meters, twenty less than initially projected.
