Breakfast.
We will depart with our local guide for a panoramic tour of the city, exploring iconic places such as the Torre del Oro, the Maestranza, the walls of the Macarena, or the Plaza de España from the bus.
Next, we will visit the Alcázar, a palace commissioned by the Castilian king Pedro I the Cruel, which still serves as the residence of the Spanish royal family, making it the oldest royal palace in Europe to this day
In the Alcázar, we will explore its beautiful courtyards and rooms, highlighting the Ambassadors' Hall with its perfect half-orange dome, the baths of María de Padilla, the gardens featuring specimens of the first trees and plants brought from America by the navigators, and the rooms on the first floor, where Charles I of Spain and V of Germany celebrated his marriage to Isabel of Portugal.
We will continue the visit by walking through the Santa Cruz neighborhood, the ancient Jewish quarter of Seville, whose streets and squares, such as the Water Alley, the Plaza de Doña Elvira, or the old courtyard of the Venerables' theater, are part of the city's intangible heritage. Our stroll will take us back to the Plaza de la Virgen de los Reyes, from where we will access the Cathedral, the third largest in the world, after St. Peter's in Rome and St. Paul's in London. Former major mosque of Seville, it preserves the old courtyard of ablutions, now known as the Patio de los Naranjos, and the minaret, which, adorned with the bell tower and the weathervane, is the emblem of the city, La Giralda.
Once we finish the visit, we will have free time to enjoy the city's gastronomy, sampling tapas in the downtown taverns.
